Nature Camp Readiness Indicators:
The following are indicators that your child is ready to be part of an enrichment program like our nature-based school.
Is fully potty trained and learning how to wipe (both pee and pooping on the toilet).
Able to walk on their own without needing to be carried.
Has interest in being independent; pulling up their own underwear, putting on their jacket and boots, carrying a backpack, learning to open their lunchbox.
Is able to stay with the group and not run ahead / away. Stops when an adult says their name.
Willing to attempt new tasks.
Listens to simple 1 to 2 step directions fairly consistently.
Is able to regulate their emotions in a developmentally appropriate way such as no longer consistently utilizing a bottle, pacifier, or other aid to regulate their emotions.
